River Falls is a wonderful community of around five hundred homes in Potomac, Maryland. Our neighborhood is situated on the southern edge of Montgomery County, adjacent to the historic C & O Canal and the Potomac River. Clarence W. Gosnell Company thoughtfully designed and built our community over forty years and features wide tree-lined streets, wooded areas, a community clubhouse, a swimming pool, six tennis courts, a playground, and fields for sports such as baseball, soccer and lacrosse.

River Falls offers a vibrant community experience filled with caring neighbors. Comparisons frequently are made between River Falls and neighborhoods many remember from simpler times. Annual highlights include a Memorial Day picnic, a Fourth of July parade, Doggie Swim, and Halloween trick-or-treating. Neighbors volunteer to lead social activities throughout the year for adults and children that may include Valentine’s Day parties, Halloween parties, and jazz nights.

River Falls Community Center Association (RFCCA) hosts a youth Swim Team and Tennis Program with long standing traditions of older children teaching the younger children about neighborhood traditions of team, respect and lasting friendships. Full time professionals direct the swim and tennis programs. River Falls also sports men and women tennis teams, and professional staff run clinics throughout the outdoor season.

River Falls has three strong community associations: the RFCCA, which governs the neighborhood recreational facilities; the Civic Association of River Falls (CARF), which advises and represents the community on civic matters; and the River Falls Home Owners Association (RFHOA), which manages common areas of the newest section of the neighborhood.
